Course objectives:
|
The goal of the subject is to present to students following topics: 3D GIS; data representation, models and formats of 3D data; data conversions among CAD, BIM and GIS; effective structuring of 3D features; analytical operations for 3D data.

Requirements on student
|
Student has to follow the study plan, which is setup at the beginnig of the semester. Student has to pass the final exam.

2. Different dimensions of geographic data in 3D GIS
3. Ways of representation of Earth surface in digital environment.
4. Strategies for visualization less dimensional data in 3D.
5. Data representations, models and formats used for 3D data in GIS and BIM.
6. Applications for 3D editing.
7. 3D data conversion among CAD, BIM and GIS.
9. Transformations of geographic coordinate systems in 3D.
10. 3D data structures for effective querying.
11. Analytical operations in 3D.
