The main purpose of the final bachelor exam is to verify that a student: mastered the study program, can successfully apply methods and knowledge from the field of study, developed necessary practical skills, knowledge and competence important either for practical employment or successive study programs.
Requirements on student
The outcome of the exam is classified according to the level of knowledge, namely on abilities of performing logical and coherent proofs of theoretical developments. Students must also demonstrate that they can apply theoretical procedures, and analyze and solve specific problems (for example in connection with their bachelor's thesis).
Content
The course must be completed by students finishing their study in the particular academic year in the fields of Geomatics, Lan-use Planning or Municipal Engineering. The form of the exam is oral in front of the commission and takes approximately 15-30 minutes. The course of the exam and other terms are specified in the Study and Examining Rules of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. During the preparation for the exam students can use individual or group consultations with guarantees of individual disciplines covered by the bachelor exam. The disciplines are announced by the guarantor department on a yearly basis.
