Course objectives:

The main aim of this seminar is an unification of approaches for writing Diploma Thesis. This course helps authors mainly to solve methodological problems, academic writing and evaluating skills are developed and finally students are given necessary fundamental knowledge of typography of thesis.

Requirements on student
|
The condition for granting the credit are
- regular consultations with the thesis supervisor, usually at least every 2 weeks, during which the student presents the results of his / her work and progress in the solution of the given topic;
- determination of thesis topics according to the assignment and their elaboration in the in specified extent;
- presentation of student's results at Geoseminar organized by the department.

Content
|
The Diploma Thesis is the final project of the master study fields Geomatics and Land-use Planning. The student has the topic of the Diploma Thesis and the corresponding work plan approved by his/her own advisor. The student receives beginning instructions to start the work on the thesis from his/her advisor. Within the special seminar, the student will familiarize himself/herself with the relevant literature and will choose the appropriate methods. Then, the student will report these choices to the instructor, and also to other students at the seminar.
