Course objectives:
|
This course is taught in English and is intended for doctoral students of the Faculty of Design and Art with an advanced knowledge of the language at the minimum of B2 level. The course develops a wide variety of skills, such as using grammar structures and vocabulary typical of the academic style. The course prepares students for ADU2.

-recognize situations for the use of present simple and present contunuous |
-recognize situations for the use of past simple and past continuous |
-identify forms of present perfect simple and continuous |
-identify situations for the use of past simple as opposed to present perfect |
-identify forms of past perfect simple and continuous |
-name various wasy of expressing the future |
-recognize modal verbs for the present, the past and the future |
-recognize forms of the 1st., 2nd and 3rd type of conditional clauses |
-identify forms of relative pronouns and clauses |
-recognize verbs using an -ing form and verbs using an infinitive form |
-identify phrasal verbs used at B2 level of CEFR |
-recognize forms of passive voice of all verb tenses |
