Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to revise elementary grammar structures as well as practice understanding technical articles and specialist vocabulary from the field of Mechanical Engineering. The article topics were chosen by the specialists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in order to contain topics that the students need for their work. The course should equip students with language competencies at the level A2 according to the Common European Framework for Languages.

Requirements on student
|
During the semester each student must collect the sum of 100% from their home assignments and test. The continuous assessment consists of 4 home assignments and the final test. The student can choose the number of assignments they want to complete. The assignments are required by deadlines specified by the teacher. The final test is obligatory.
Evaluation:
- Home assignments for volunteers (max. 25 points = 25%)
- video 1 = max. 8 points
- video 2 = max. 7 points
- writing 1 = max. 5 points
- writing 2 = max. 5 points
If a student submits a min. of 3 home assignments, they receive a 5% bonus for their final test.

- distinguish general vocabulary in connection with the topics of family, friends, hobbies |
