Course objectives:

This course is intended for the students with the level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course prepares students for the target level A2- according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
UJP/F3 is a follow up to UJP/F2.

Requirements on student
|
Active participation in class, accomplishing homework tasks assigned throughout the semester, midterm test and final test (75% to pass).
Distance students:
- one tutorial per month

- identify the basic activities of daily life |
- identify the forms of reflexive verbs |
- identify the indicative and imperative mood |
- identify the forms of the present simple, present continuous, perfect and imperfect |
- identify the pronominal forms of direct and indirect object |
- identify the meaning of tenses in the present and past |
- identify the direct and indirect speech in the present |
- explain basic methods of forming words in French |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
- have a simple conversation about basic everyday situations - phone calls, shopping, etc. |
- describe persons and things, ask for their properties |
- change the direct speech into the indirect in the present |
- write a short personal letter, word |
- express someone's needs |
- correctly use past tense in a narrative with regard to what the speaker wants to express |
- select appropriate grammatical means (basic tenses, time expressions) to express the temporal context of a narrative |
