Course objectives:

The course is intended for students of the Faculty of Education. The aim of the course is to equip students who are not studying French as a subject with A2 level competences according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The entry level for the course is a basic knowledge of French.

Requirements on student
|
- active participation in class,
- accomplishing homework tasks assigned throughout the semester,
- midterm test,
- passing final test (75% to pass).
Distance students:
- one tutorial per month,
- midterm test,
- final test (75% to pass).

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
- identify the forms of selected regular and irregular verb forms |
- identify the perfect verb tense (passé composé) |
- identify the forms of partitive determiner (article partitif) |
- identify the forms of the near future tense (futur proche) |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
- describe past events in a simple way (passé composé) |
- describe eating habits in a simple way |
- describe plans in a simple way |
- search, summarize and analyse information in a short, simple text or listening focused on personal or professional life |
