Course objectives:
|
The course is intended for students of the Faculty of Education and is a continuation of the UJP/FPE4 course. The aim of the course is to equip students who are not studying French as a subject with B1 level competences according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Requirements on student
|
- active participation in class,
- accomplishing homework tasks assigned throughout the semester,
- midterm test,
- passing final test (75% to pass).
Distance students:
- one tutorial per month,
- midterm test,
- final test (75% to pass).

Content
|
Week 1
Introductory lesson. Organization. Comparison. Relational pronouns (dont, qui, que...). Study. Occupation. Diplomas and certificates.
Week 2
Expression of cause - extension. Expressions of inference(d'abord, en fait...). Acquisition of foreign languages.
Week 3
Repetition - present conditional (conditionnel présent), future simple (futur simple), near future (futur proche). Professions, fields of activity.
Week 4
Expressions to express duty, necessity. Repetition of the subjunctive (subjonctif). Journalism.
Week 5
Repetition - gerundium (gérondif). Presentation of statistical results.
Week 6
Narration, use of tenses in narration. The past tense (plus-que-parfait). Biography.
Week 7
Interim test. Single demonstrative pronouns in conjunction with simple relational pronouns. Description of the photo.
Week 8
Expression of Purpose. Tourism. Solidarity.
Week 9
Expression of condition. Real condition - repetition. Unrealistic condition. Holiday. Vacation.
Week 10
Expression of consequence. Family relationships.
Week 11
Modalization. Expressing the speaker's evaluation, opinion, attitude towards the described fact.
Week 12
Final test.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
- identify the forms of direct and indirect object (COD, COI) |
- identify the forms of the present subjunctive (subjonctif présent) |
- identify the forms of the present conditional (conditionnel présent) |
- identify the forms of indefinite non-independent pronouns (tout, tous...) |
- identify the forms of indefinite independent pronouns (tout, tous...)

- identify the forms of negative pronouns (personne, rien...) |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
- correctly use direct and indirect object forms (COD, COI) |
- use, at the appropriate level, the indicative, conditional and subjunctive forms correctly in a narrative or text (indicatif, conditionnel présent, subjonctif présent) |
