Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to equip students with basic language competence and prepare them for CEF level B1.
|
Requirements on student
|
1) the attendance is obligatory
2) completion of all assignments mentioned in COURSEWARE/Google classroom/lesson
3) progress test
4) presentation on a specific topic
5) credit test (75% to pass)

Content
|
Week 1: Lesson 1 - Holiday. In the travel agency. Infinitive with "zu".
Week 2: Lesson 1 - Goals of a holiday in Germany. Infinitive with "da/weil, obwohl".
Week 3: Lesson 2 - Shopping. Complaints. The verb "lassen" and the infinitive. Expressing a consequence.
Week 4: Lesson 2 - Technology and devices. Advertising. Genitive. Prepositions with the genitive.
Week 5: Lesson 3 - Life events. Préteritum.
Week 6: Lesson 3 - Expressing politeness. Behaviour before and today. Tenses - Prepositions with dative and akusative - "ab, an, bis, ... während, ..."
Week 7: Lesson 4 - Working conversations. Job search. Motivation letter. Conjunctive II.
Week 8: Lesson 4 - Job advertisements. Job Interview. Pronouns and pronominal adverbs.
Week 9: Lesson 5 - Environment. Comparative and Superlative adjectives.
Week 10: Lesson 5 - Weather in D-A-CH countries. Purpose sentences with "damit" and "um ... zu".
Week 11: Lesson 6 - Plans, advice. Futur I. n-declarations.
Week 11: Lesson 6 - Future ideas, expectations. Relative clauses.
Week 13: Repetition. Credit test.
