Course objectives:
|
The course is designed for students of technical universities focusing mainly on Mechanical Engineering with pre-intermediate or intermediate knowledge of German. Students will learn to communicate in technically oriented working environments. The course should equip students with language competencies at the level B1/B2 according to the Common European Framework for Languages.

Requirements on student
|
Credit requirements:
1) activity in hours
2) fulfillment of all assigned tasks listed in the Courseware
3) essay on a given topic (KS students submit two essays)
4) continuous test
5) final test at 75%
Oral examination: a presentation in English. Students are required to prepare a presentation on a topic connected with their field of study.

9. Realization of an experiment, instructions, advice and recommendations
10. Application, interview, cover letter, talk about job search, talk about yourself

12. Comment on technical sketches, statistics and graphics, interpret tables

correctly use grammatical means according to the required level (main and subordinate clauses, questions, cases, infinitive with "zu") |
identify the past and perfect tense of irregular verbs |
use advanced vocabulary focused on employment, job interview, business correspondence |
