Information Systems in Chemistry

V rámci přednášek se seznámíte se základními pojmy informatiky, se způsoby zpracování chemických informací od historických kořenů po současnost. Dále pak se systémy, v nichž lze chemické informace vyhledávat, s možnostmi jednotlivých databází a základní principy práce s nimi. Součástí seminářů je i informace o správném používání citací ve vlastní tvorbě. Dále se seznámíte s typografickými doporučeními pro tvorbu odborného chemického textu a grafů, také s prací v editorech chemických struktur. Na závěr zpracujete krátkou seminární práci s využitím nabytých vědomostí.

Course annotation KCH/INSY -IS/STAG

The aim of this course is to familiarize students with possibilities of the use of information technologies in the field of chemistry and gain knowledge allowing them to search for chemical information. The students will also learn about principles of text formatting, graphs preparing and creating structural formulas principles. It also includes an introduction to the use of new media for independent learning and teaching chemistry.
