The aim of the course is to acquaint students in practical terms with diplomacy as one of the basic instruments of foreign policy (not only) of the state. The course provides an overview of the development and current state of world and Czech diplomacy, acquaints with the basics of diplomatic customs, protocol and etiquette, will deal with forms of communication in diplomacy, various types of diplomatic activities, all in the context of foreign policy. During the course some specific diplomatic procedures and solutions will be analysed in the form of practical examples.
