The Design of Electrical Machines 1 (KEV/SST1) deals with construction, design and calculation of electrical machines. The subject is suitable for a practical view on electrcal machines, thit is suitably extends subjects like Theory of Electrical Machines (e.g. KEV/TS2). During the whole semester you will get familiar with each part of electromagnetic design of the electric machine, including knowledge about materials used for construction of electric machines. A general approach, which will be introduced in the lectures, will be then practically applied for the purpose of one of many types of electrical machines in your own semester work.
