The aim of the course is to introduce students to the main topics of the History of Religions. The emphasis is upon Western religious traditions, especially Christianity. In the introductory part of the course are sketched historical conditions of the emergence of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Historical examples are employed to explain basic theoretical concepts of the Study of Religions (myth, ritual etc.).
