| The aim of this course is to explore the standard themes of the philosophy of mind at a deeper level of analysis. At an advanced level, current research into the metaphysics of the mind and the relationship between mind and body will be examined, focusing on topics and readings from the last decade. The course assumes students' familiarity with classical topics and key articles in the field of philosophy of mind. The course provides a systematic description, explanation and evaluation of the most influential discussions concerning current issues in the philosophy of mind. Part of the course will take place in the form of independent supervised work of students. Self-study will be devoted to continuous detailed reading of compulsory literature. |
