KFI/HFMHN

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with selected problems in the field of history and philosophy of mathematics. On the one hand, students will gain a general overview of the historical and intellectual development of mathematics, on the other hand, they will deepen their knowledge of selected topics from the history and philosophy of mathematics. In connection with the history of mathematics, attention is paid to key moments in the development of mathematics. In the field of philosophy of mathematics, attention is focused on the philosophical reflection of mathematical theoretical concepts and the transformation of mathematical concepts.
The course is scheduled once per two years.
