The aim of this course is to introduce the students to literary theory, to their subjects, methods, to the variaty of anwers of the question, what is literature and how it works. The historical horizon of poetics, aesthetics and modern literary theory will be presented, than the influential literary theories and schools, problems, terminology. The seminar part will guide the students in the practicing of reading and analysing modern literary texts.
