Every historian should be equipped with the knowledge of the English language. This is necessary both for the reading of field-related literature but also for the presentation of one's own research. In the course, students will acquire reading skills and vocabulary related to the field of history. They will also learn to make PowerPoint presentations and have an opportunity to discuss their favourite historical topics.
Podmínkou kurzu je úroveň anglického jazyka B2 (students can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation, they can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party, and they can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options
