The subject is an introductory course to the didactics of early education in NJ at the 1st grade of elementary school. The aim of the course is to define the basic concepts of foreign language didactics, to define the principles of effective teaching of foreign languages and to introduce students to the basic tools of teaching reflection. The student learns to distinguish between the content and the goal of the subject, the functionality of the chosen methods (assesses the integrity of the teaching), gets an overview of NJ teaching at the 1st grade of elementary school and its priorities, learns to perceive the interconnectedness of the individual determinants of the teaching process. The student becomes familiar with methods of practicing individual language skills, develops theoretical knowledge while preparing own didactic materials and aids. With the help of video demonstrations and micro-performances, the student acquires the skill to reflect on teaching, forms his professional judgment about teaching, analyzes critical points of teaching and suggests alterations. The goal is also to master the basic terminology of didactic discourse, as well as terminology from the field of teaching reflection, both in Czech and German.
