The aim of this course is to assist students in acquiring institutional definition of family and models of family functioning. Students recognize the psychological basis of partner selection and will know the types of partner-risk individuals. Students understand relationship asymmetry and a structure of pair communication. Students will be acquainted with possible emotional problems of the partners and will assess the influence of material economic conditions on family functioning. Based on case study analysis, they recognize incorrect educational styles, problem families, and clinical families. They will learn the principles of communication with the pupil's parents.
