Course annotation KSS/AOS2 -IS/STAG

The objective of the course is to develop students' ability to understand a wide range of original texts related to the European Union. The course is designed for students of the bachelor's degree program Society and Politics and is taught in English. It focuses on the methods of reading expert texts, their explanation, understanding and use in practice, especially in terms of the relationship between the language and the communicated content. Seminars are devoted to the analysis of texts based on practical and pragmatic understanding of general and expert language. Special attention is paid to formal and conceptual analysis of terms and equivalent expressions in the native language. Students are also encouraged to prepare presentations on relevant topics.
