| To equip students with basic knowledge and to develop their skills of analytical evaluation and verbal interpretation of artistic expression across the widest range of value levels of artistic work (with a special focus on correlation and differences between basic principles of the ontogenetic development of child's artistic expressions and the main tendencies of the historical development of Visual Culture Art culture). The theory basis is based on the hermeneutic approach and semiology in harmony with the constructivist understanding of teaching. To introduce the method of hermeutic interpretation and its changing paradigma in connection with its ontological, epistemological and critical basis as a tool of critical viewing of visual texts and communicative behaviour. To understand how the hermeneutic method has gradually freed itself from its originally supporting interpretational function and gained the position of an independent philosophical discipline by putting findings into historical context. Making the existence of a unified objective world relative becomes the basis for pluralistic understanding of views and approaches of individuals and social groups; this approach enables reflection and multilateral dialogue. |
