Course objectives:
|
During a field trip students are able to transform knowledge of common Czech plants, animals, soils etc. into teaching on basic and secondary schools. Students are able to find appropriate examples for teaching in the field and demonstrate them to audience (with features for determination, ecology and ethology). Students are able to analyse a particular natural scientific topic and prepare its presentation according to the RVP (curricula).

Requirements on student
|
The student is active and creative during each excursion day. Determination exam of 10 botanical species, 10 zoological species and 10 minerals.

Content
|
Excursion to diverse natural sites (wood, meadow, pond, human settlements) focused on preparation and didactic utilization of an excursion for a practice teaching on basic and secondary schools. Didactic utilization of model animal, plant species, bedrocks, soils and geographical features during the excursion and the practice teaching on basic and secondary schools (plays, competitions, working sheets etc.).

know principal methods of the field and biological research |
known plant, animal and mineral and rock classification in bachelor level |
known botanical, zoological and geological scientific terminology in bachelor level |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
be able to use the field guides for determination |
use the appropriate scientific terminology in description of organism and processes |
be able to correctly use biological field and laboratory instruments (microscope, field microscope, telescope, lens, camera etc.) |
be able to prepare the field instructions for particular field field trip by use of textbooks and field guides |

be able of didactic transformation of natural scientific knowledge into particular learning forms for practical teaching, field trips and excursions |
be able to observe typical plants, mushrooms and animals and their traces in nature, with use of practical knowledge of their ecology and bionomy, and with use of appropriate methods of the biological field research |
