Content
|
This subject deals with economic law application into the electric power engineering at complying with specialities of electric energy production and supply.
Lecture topics: Basic power and economic definitions, load diagrams, load indicators. Classification of the electricity production costs, price calculation of one produced kWh. Economy dividing of electric power system production and load among power plants (economics of load diagram coverage of power sources). Economic means of company (basic, circulating means). Circulating means optimisation (optimization methods, stockkeeping theory). Static stochastic model. Dynamic deterministic model with satisfied and unsatisfied demand. Basic means - BM (dividing, lifetime, taxes depreciation). Company costs (classification, investment cost recalculation). Optimization BM, load and yield flows, economical magnitude updating (elementary and composite bearing interest, discounting, income acceleration). Accumulating, repayment, discount sum of incomes. Economic investment effectiveness in power engineering - dependence of profit on investment means. Economic investment effectiveness in power engineering - economy criteria. Optimization processes, their dividing. Organization and principles of electric power market in the Czech Republic. Trading on short - term electricity market. Economic criteria in determinancy conditions. Economic criteria in indeterminacy and uncertainty conditions.
The industrial experts take part on the lecture in the course.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
Knowledge of the problems on graduate level of Electrical Power Engineering 1 and Power Plants 1 subjects, which are taught at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering and Ecology of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. |
|
Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students apply theoretical knowledge from area of economy in electric power engineering at solution of demonstrative problems dealing with steps, which lead to assure effective control and economic power system operation and which allow effective development or reconstruction its parts, i. e.:
- from scheduled parameters construct load diagram (LD) of electric power system parts
- on the basis of concrete LD knowledge determinate (mathematically and graphically) load indicators
- classificate the costs of the electricity production to appropriate categories and calculate the price of one produced kWh
- suggest distribution of electric power output and electricity generation among more power plants on the basis total cost minimisation
- economically divide electric power output among more power plants at complying with only variables components of costs, i. e. with consumption characteristics utilization of individual blocks
- perform optimisation of company circulating means by the help of static stochastic model
- perform optimisation of company circulating means by the help of dynamic deterministic model with satisfied and unsatisfied demand (single- and multi - item model)
- assess economic investment effectiveness by the help of various criteria
