Course objectives:
|
The objective of the course is to introduce students into main conceptions of philosophical phenomenology and hermeneutics. To present topics of 20th century texts in focused on speech, language and communication. To distinguish and deal with problems of philosophy, science and communication on the base of identification and relations of phenomena, horizons and understanding.

|
Credit: active participation in seminars, presentation, synopsis of seminar papers.
Examination: combined exam.

|
Relations of man, philosophy, science and world (Patočka); transcendental phenomenology, being, world (Husserl, Heidegger); existence and transcendence, sameness-otherness/alterity (Lévinas, Ricoeur, Waldenfels); bodiness, subject/object (Merleau-Ponty, Barbaras, Sartre); history, culture and memory (Heidegger, Patočka, Ricoeur, Assmann); intentionality, symbol, truth and interpretation (Gadamer, Ricoeur); internal/external language and history, timeness (Patočka, Arendt, Marion); natural language, mathematization and popularization of science, reductive and universal (Husserl, Lévi-Strauss, Grondin); time, perception, understanding, sense and meaning (Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, Barbaras).
