Course objectives:
|
The aim of this course is to introduce the principles of regional policy in the various hierarchical levels (European, national and regional) and to explain criteria of regional development and impacts of regional policy for regional development of Czech regions.

Requirements on student
|
Successful completing and presentation of paper on regional politik and particuler projects in CR.

Content
|
This course includes these items: The importance of regional policy for regional development and various approaches to regional development. The concept of regional and structural policy of the EU. Reasons, principles and objectives of policy of economic and social cohesion. Documents of EU regional policy. Institutional reinsurance and funding system. Legislation in the EU regional and structural policy. Structural Funds of the EU. The concept of the regional policy of the Czech Republic. Programming documents. Regional operational programs, programs promoting regional development in the CR and programs of development of municipalities, cities and regions. Tools of regional development strategy of the CR. Institutional security, regional development agencies.
