Course objectives:

This is the first of the two-part course of business English which aims to help a student grasp business texts at the intermediate level of difficulty. Not only will AKP1 help you refresh your knowledge of grammar but equip you with specialised lexis also, so you feel confident in today's competitive workplace. Among other things, this course is designed to help students hold discussion on a given business topic and enable them to demonstrate their ability to independently frame questions and answers during a discussion meaningfully.

Passing the final test (at 70 % or more). Completion of all assignments given.

Content
|
Students will be introduced to the basic terms of business English - via theoretical lectures and practical exercises. Lectures, seminars and exercises - oral and written, will help a student understand and remember well. The emphasis is put on improving the oral and written communication skills of every student to prepare them for their future endeavours.

apply the basic concepts of business English |
demonstrate the knowledge of English at B2 level according to CEFR |
express oneself in vocabulary at B2 level according to CEFR |
distinguish betwen informal and formal form of written English |
