Course objectives:
|
To explain the meaning and purpose of qualitative research, to clarify differences from quantitative research and familiarize students with possible applications in mixed research design. To apply the theory to a practical project and lead students to apply it to their research proposal, including its defense.

Requirements on student
|
To take an active part in at least three workshops (block tuition) and self-study of recommended sources.
To write a term paper: the topic is assigned based on the specialization of the PhD student (the extent of the paper is 20-25 standard pages).
The exam is in the form of a defence of the mentioned student´s term paper and covers the topics mentioned in the course contents - see STAG.
