Course objectives:
|
To orient students in the field of trade and services, to acquaint them with its importance in the national economy and in the world economy, to explain key aspects of business in trade and services, to present current trends in trade and services, to explain practical aspects of consumer behavior, business models and marketing management in the field of trade and services.

Requirements on student
|
1) Completion of scored activities, which are assigned in the lectures and relate to the content of the lecture and the current situation in the field. Activities may be oral or written, including presentation of outcomes. Activities are rated.
2) A written examination test (including combination of open and closed questions). In extraordinary cases can be conducted on-line.
The scoring system for the semester is conveyed to students in the introductory class of the course.
A student must earn 60% of all points to pass the course.

Entrepreneurship in trade and services
Consumer behavior, its typology and implications for business in trade and services
Business models in the field of trade and services - e.g. franchising
Trading, preparation for business negotiations, typology of customers in negotiations, including intercultural aspects.
Product and its management.
Pricing in trade and services
Distribution in trade and services
Marketing communication in the field of trade and services
Brand, its management and private labels vs. product
Sharing economy, e-commerce.
