Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to offer students a basic idea of pedagogy as a science of education and training in the context of contemporary society. The course will focus on the detailed analysis of the content of general and comparative pedagogy and will develop the knowledge and level of analytical skills and skills of the student in these pedagogical disciplines. The subject is a propedeutics for further study of other pedagogical disciplines.

Requirements on student
|
successful work in the seminars, reflexion of the seminars, fulfilling the assignments and reflections from seminars and lectures will be subject to the mandatory final two colloquia (condition to pass the course).

Content
|
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to offer students a basic idea of pedagogy as a science of education and training in the context of contemporary society. The course will focus on the detailed analysis of the content of general and comparative pedagogy and will develop the knowledge and level of analytical skills and skills of the student in these pedagogical disciplines. The subject is a propedeutics for further study of other pedagogical disciplines.
Content focus of lectures:
1. Pedagogy as modern science and its features, subject of pedagogy and analysis of basic pedagogical categories, structure of pedagogical disciplines.
2. Systemic concept of pedagogy in current changes in the education and education of elementary and secondary schools. Cooperation of pedagogy as a science with other disciplines, incl. questions of pedagogical practice.
3. Current problems of contemporary pedagogy, incl. questions of implementation of curriculum innovations into the practice of elementary and secondary schools.
4. The current concept of education and its process framework. Educational-psychological, philosophical and social starting point of education.
5. The concept of an individual and group in education and training. Communication and empathy in education.
6. Analysis of the natural and institutional environment of education. Classification of parental approaches and their influence on the self-concept of a child.
7. Changes in educational models in relation to social change. Education in the social and historical context of the development of society.
8. Global education and its possibilities in education and education.
9. Definition of the subject of comparative pedagogy Means, methods of comparative pedagogy.
10. Current trends in educational practice in an international context.
11. European education policy.
12. Evaluation of the subject
Content of the seminars:
Seminars will interactively develop these lecture topics. Student based on his own creative activity in the selected pedagogical subject in the form of a seminar work will try to apply the pedagogical theory to the pedagogical practice of primary or secondary school and the studied subject.
