Course objectives:
|
The goal of this course is the development of the basic knowledge, skills and postures in the field of music theory with the focus on the active approach of the musical education and the utilization of the findings in the musically-educational process on the 1st grade of the primary school. S/he learns to apply the gained bases of harmony and counterpoint in the model situations of the musical teaching on the 1st grade of the primary school.

Requirements on student
|
1. The student successfully passes minimally 3 tests of the music theory, the bases of the music forms and history of music during the semester.
2. The student passes the practical intonation, rhythmical and timing skills which are essential for the work with the pupils from the 1st grade of the primary school.
S/he will practically accomplish these skills along with the pupils? mobilization there will also be the reflection of his/her own work.
Exam:
1. The student writes a test of the music theory, the bases of the music forms and history of music
2. The next part is the interview over the theory.

Content
|
Basic musical concepts, safe orientation in music notation - G and F key.
Major and minor scales (Aeolian, harmonic, melodic).
Basic and derived intervals.
Quintakordy major and minor. Determination and formation of quinta-chords. Turnovers of quinta-chords major and minor.
Septacord. Main harmonic functions. Strict joining of chords.
The student proves on selected simple songs from music textbooks for primary school that he can sing intonation cleanly and rhythmically accurately, with the right articulation (examples of songs: A fox sits under an oak; , son, son; Beskyde, Beskyde).
Musical forms - orientation in basic terms (motif, theme, pre-sentence, will, sentence, period, introduction, coda) and in basic form types (small and large song form, rondo, variation, sonata form, cyclic forms.
Basic orientation in the history of Czech and world music (individual stylistic periods) with emphasis on the student's listening competencies and their development.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
The student considers the musical theory as the essential part of the complex musical education with the help of the mobilization method with the respect to the relation to the development of pupil?s cognitive and performance needs. S/he handles the pedagogic and educational strategies, deepens the practical skills in the scope of the basis of the clock technique, s/he handles the effective methods and procedures in the practice of the supporting songs, which help the pupils with the development of the crucial competencies. S/he develops his/her own singing abilities to be able to perform demonstratively the songs of various styles and genres including the second or third part in the two-parted or multi-parted singing in the framework of the teaching process. S/he deepens his/her practical intonation and rhythmical skills and is able to utilize them in the practical tasks. |

Learning outcomes

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
The student will grasp and apply the terms from the area of the music history, verifies the possibilities in the pupil?s and teacher?s work, s/he will understand the bases of the music theory approximately in the range of L. Zenkl?s textbook.
S/he will understand the various teaching models the basic curricular documents, especially RVP and ŠVP and perceives their differences form the view of the musically-educational process. S/he familiarizes with the music forms in the range of the requirements of the 1st grade of the primary school suitable to the development of the expected outputs.
S/he orientates within the history of the Czech and world music, s/he analyses the individual categories of the educational process with the regard to ŠVP ? s/he defines the concrete goals, education strategy, pupil?s competencies and motivations including of pupil?s evaluation with the use support of the inter-course relations in the terms of the multimedia educational sources.
S/he knows the textbooks and methodical handbooks of the musical education for the 1st grade of the primary school and the supplemental music literature, is able to approach them critically and to compare from the viewpoint of their content, form and the methodical procedures with the regard to the ŠVP.
S/he understands the differences of the various ways of classification within the education from the viewpoint of the specific musical activities.
