Historický přehled názorů na evoluci organismů (lamarkismus darwinismus, neodarwinismus, neolamarkismus, punktualismus, neutralismus, kreacionismus aj.). Genotyp, fenotyp, adaptace. Mikroevoluční mechanismy. Mikroevoluce (koevoluce, variabilita populací, kliny, poddruhy). Speciace (biologický a evoluční druh, agamospecies, druhy speciací, RIM, mechanismy štěpné speciace). Makroevoluce (evoluční trendy, velké evoluční novinky, ontogeneze a fylogeneze, fylogenetické zákony, průběžné a hromadné extinkce, rychlost evoluce, gradualismus a punktualismus aj.). Molekulární evoluce. Hlavní etapy evoluce života na Zemi: vznik života, vznik mnohobuněčnosti, vznik skeletu, evoluční fauny a flóry.
