Course objectives:
|
To learn about elementary reading and writing. Development of the Czech spelling. Methodology of the preparatory period for reading and writing, develop of children speech and graphomotorics. Language games and the development of the senses, especially sight and hearing. Graphomotoric exercises.

Requirements on student
|
Active participation in seminars, seminar work. Draw up a weekly plan of language education and preparation for five to six-years-old children in kindergarten, 5 graphomotoric exercises to develop and release the hand with commentary. Prepared to submit a workbook with cartoon exercises.

Content
|
1. Language education in the preschool age.
2. Methods, means and forms of development of knowledge, thought and speech by the children at the age of five to six.
3. Preschool training in teaching reading and writing as a part of prevention of educational difficulties.
4. Preparing to write the content in the kindergarten.
5. Method Good start, left-handed child.
6. Children with school suspension and their successful start in school.
7. Didactic games and exercises for successful entry into school.
8. Graphomotoric methodology, drawing exercises, rhythmic exercises released in the pictures ? stories.
9. Planning language educational work in kindergartens.
10. Methodology of child language development - vocabulary, pronunciation, development of a coherent expression
11. Games with vowels and letters.
12. The current firts textbooks and copy books for the 1st class of primary school, training methods reading and writing in the 1st class.
13. Puppet theater in kindergarten, literary education.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
Students should have basic knowledge of developmental psychology, educational psychology and general didactics. They should be familiar with logopedic problems and have a basic linguistic foundation in the Czech language. |

Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
The student will focus on language education of preschool age, illustrate the problems of development of graphomotorics, will be able to prepare and justify the appropriateness of drawing exercises to release child's hand, will ensure the correct grip of cartoon tools and learn how to apply guidelines for working with left-handed child. He will know the teaching forms of language games and he will be able to use them to develop children's speech, pronunciation and senses, especially sight and hearing. He gets acquainted with the teaching of reading and writing in the 1st class and current textbooks. |
