Course objectives:
|
Aim of the course is to provide students with the basic overview of archaeology of the period mentioned in the most important colonies of the European powers in the Modern period. Consequently, the course will focus on definition of this sub-discipline and the main approaches in the historic archaeology.

Content
|
This course is designed for students of the post-gradual study in Archaeology (study program Historical Sciences) or for students of other related sciences (social and cultural anthropology, modern history). It is focused on archaeology and artifactual elements of the culture of the colonies in the New World from discovery of America up to the 19th century.
