Aim of this subject is to introduce the students to the questions of reflecting religion and symbols in the archaeological sources from Prehistory up to present. The students will be informed about various possibilities of interpreting the chosen archaeological contexts and other phenomena documentable through archaeological methods. Emphasized will be theoretical and methodological approaches to these questions.

6. Symbols and rituals in the Bronze Age and their reflection in the archaeological sources.
7. Cult and ritual in the Hallstatt period.
8. Symbolic and immovable artifacts of the LaTéne period.
9. Question of the demonstration architecture.
10. Building sacrifices and other archaeologically documentable rituals of the Middle Age.
11. Reflection of Christianity in the medieval burial rite.
12. Medieval sacral architecture and its symbolic meaning.
13. Significant symbols of the European Middle Age.
