Course objectives:
|
This Course follows the course ISL1 and its main aim is to extend students' understanding of Islam religion. The issues of Shi´i Islam, Sufism and mystical forms of Islam will be introduced. Also the very controversial theme of Islam fundamentalism will be discussed. The diversity and the colourfulness of present Islam are presented through studies focused on folk Islam.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Student will gain the knowledge about plurality of Islamic religion. He will be able to enumerate most important events of Shiah Islam and most important personalities of Sufism tradition. He will analyse fenomens of Shiah Islam, Sufism and present Islamic fundamentalism. |
