Course objectives:
|
The aim of this course is to create students knowledge about literar heritage of Middleeastern societies through analysation of chosen modern and postmodern texts translated into czech language and to help to make more intensive cognition of present culture of this region. Important personalities and historical genres of prosaic and also poetic and dramatic tradition will be introduced to the students. Through analysation of the texts students will extend their experiences and knowledge about history, culture and religion of Middleeastern region.

Student will know the most imortant personalities of modern and postmodern Arabic literature. Their lives and works will put into historical context. Wiil be able to explain used symbols and methaphors in read texts. Will compare authors and works from particulars spheres and will be able to term their charakteristics. |
