Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to explain to students the essence, main topics, terminology, methods and development of all major disciplines of Islamic sciences (tafsir, ilm al-ad?th, as-s?ra an-nabaw?ya,'ilm al-kalam, falsafa, tasawwuf etc.), which are the foundation of traditional forms in religious thoughts and knowledge. In the course, marginal attention is also paid to the natural sciences, which developed strongly in the environment of medieval Muslim societies. The Islamic Jurisdiction (fiqh) field is devoted to its importance as a separate subject Islamic Law.
