Course objectives:
|
To provide students with professional knowledge and practical experience in the field of monitoring movement activities of selected groups of clients. Students will acquire skills of monitoring of physical activity and its evaluation leading to the improvement of physical preparation and optimization of the client's physicaůl activity regime.

Requirements on student
|
60% of the points from the portfolio of activities. The portfolio includes the processing of work sheets, project design and implementation of the project, and a writing exam in professional knowledge.

Content
|
1. Objectives and options for monitoring physical activity
2. Subjective methods - questioning, manual recording (record sheet, diary), interview.
3. Objective methods - monitoring of physiological and metabolic parameters (heart rate, ventilation, lactate concentration, calorimetry, ...)
4. Objective methods - monitoring of motion (pedometry, accelerometry)
5. New technologies and applications for monitoring and controlling physical activity
6. Sharing of monitoring of physical activity, social networks, cloud services.
