Course objectives:

Course objective:
The objective of the course is to acquaint students mechanics and biomechanics musculoskeletal system of the human body. It deals with the body as a element. It describes the nature of normal and pathological movement, its types, postural functions, voluntary and automatic movements. It takes account of normal activity, locomotion and manual activities and their failures.

1. Postural motorics. Postural activities of lying, sitting, standing (normal and pathological).
2. Function of the lower limb as a whole. Kineziology and pathogenesis of pelvis.
3. Nerve lesions originating from plexus lumbalis.
4. Nerve lesions originating from plexus sacralis.
5. Kinesiology and pathokinesiology of the hip joint.
6. Kinesiology and pathokinesiology of the knee joint.
7. Foot kinesiology and pathokinesiology (lfoot deformities).
8. Walking - divisions, basic types.
9. Gait - stage of standing.
10. Gait - stage of step. Double step. Run.
11. Pathological walking patterns.
