Course objectives:

This course introduces the students to the basic concept of discourse, and about the aplication of critical discourse analysis within the study of identity, and social change. The course is divided into four parts. The first three parts include the concept of discourse, structure of discourse and its relation to the processes of social change and the concepts of identity. The last - practical part engages in critical discursive analysis and its possible applications.

The course is based on seminars. These seminars suppose detailed knowledge of reading materials.
Seminar texts are in English only. Besides the above specified requiremennts for coursework, the students´presentation in English during the semestr is an integral part of the course.
