The course aims to provide students with insight into the political and economic influence in Bavaria as part of the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union during the second half of the 20th century and in the 21st century. Besides the informative lectures will be available to students authentic texts presenting appropriate examples of the specific status of the Free State of Bavaria.

Selected examples of European directives and their implementation in Bavaria
Promoting the interests of Bavaria at the level of the Federal Republic of Germany
Promoting the interests of Bavaria in the European Union
Co-decision powers Bavaria
Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully:
Knowledge of the German language at least at the level C1 (CEFR).
