Course objectives:
|
Revision, consolidation and further development of the singing technique via more difficult intonation and singing exercises, vocalises and musical pieces of the 20th century authors. Preparation of cultivated speech of the expected teacher of Hv and style performance of musi-cal pieces of various stylistic periods.

Requirements on student
|
Systematic home training and activity during singing seminaries. Mastering the singing breathing, mixed resonance in all of its range, legato, staccato and portamento in skips (5-8), messa di voce. Present programmes of three concerts held by the Department of Musical Cul-ture complete with brief review to gain the credit.

Content
|
Revision and consolidation of the singing technique of the more difficult intonation and sing-ing exercises and vocalises. Study of the 20th century musical pieces. Preparation of cultivated speech of the expected teacher of Hv and of style performance of the various stylistic periods musical pieces. Further development of the singing skill via more difficult combined vocal exercises ? skips, octaves, decomposition, scale. Study of the 20th century musical pieces and simpler opera arias of various stylistic periods (depending on the singing advancement of the student). Style performance of musical pieces of various stylistic periods and genres of the pedagogue choice with regard to the individual vocal condition and singing skills of the stu-dent. Working with songbooks.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
Grasping of breath backing, correct phrasing and use of mixed resonance in greater portion of the vocal range, balanced vocals at least in the median position, crescendo, decrescendo, messa di voce, some elements of ornamentation (short and long grace note, turn, groupus-cule). |

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Student masters the control of his voice and has established fundamental skills of the singing technique: breath backing, crescendo and decrescendo, phrasing, mixed resonance in all of its range, balanced vocal in all positions, intelligible articulation, elements of ornamentation. Student can also interpret and distinguish the style of simpler musical pieces of various stylis-tic periods and genres. |
