Course objectives:

The aim of this subject is to develop singing skills by a systematic activity in some university choir and to extend knowledge of the world-wide and Czech chorus literature. It is an absolutely irreplaceable activity that helps to further develop intonation and rhythmical skills, vocal culture, harmonic thinking, musical memory etc.

Requirements on student
|
Active participation in seminars and choir camps (75% participation), mandatory participation in choir performances throughout the semester (100% participation). Mastery of choral literature from various historical periods designed for women's, men's, or mixed choirs.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
The student controls his/her voice and he/she has fixed singing habits: breath support, resonance in most mixed tones of vocal range, balanced vocals in all positions, clear articulation. Ready to cultured, erudite vocal expression future music teachers on the implementation of stylish folk songs of homophonic and polyphonic. The student is able to phrase correctly, the voice manages to gradual changes in dynamics. Students should develop the ability to work as a good member of the choir. Acquainted with the ways of choral work and learn basic Czech and international choral literature. |
