Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to present the contemporary theories of globalization. A particular attention is paid to the questions of the historical development of globalization and the effects of this process to the different aspects of the social life (economy, culture, transnational corporations, politics, conflicts, alter-globalization movement). It will be discussed to which extent is the process of globalization natural and to which extent is run by decisions of international financial organizations.

The processing of learning tasks is the essential part of this course. The learning tasks are controlled continuously by teacher. Texts for study are elaborated in required form (essay, presentation, resume, synopsis, abstract).
