Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to equip future German primary school teachers with theoretical knowledge and linguistic competencies for developing effective German lessons for young learners at primary level, or how to design and teach an optional German course at primary school. The course includes the issues of communicative learning, practicing language skills through games and exercises for young learners, deals with currents approaches (children with special needs, CLIL, emergence of ICT instruments and using literary texts in German teaching, German as a second foreign language). Students learn to apply the needs resulting from the given learning environment and individual needs of pupils and to aptly use suitable learning methods and materials; they create their own portfolio of materials, ("inspiromat").

Requirements on student
|
Development of a short paper according to the topics discussed in the magazine Deutsch als Fremdsprache or Frühes Deutsch followed by a practical procedure associated with the simulated experiment (micro-teaching). The analysis and evaluation of the sequence, submission of a written presentation as a seminar paper. Oral examination.
