Course objectives:
|
This course introduces the students to the system of complex care of pupils with special educational needs according to current integrative paradigm of special pedagogy. Its focus is on the comprehension of the relation between the disabled minority and intact majority of population. Students will learn about the history of the relation between the society and disabled people, they will be familiarized with basic terminology, with the cross-disciplinary concept of this subject and its structure; they will gain the overview of relevant legislation and of the social care system.

Processing case studies of the child (pupil) with disabilities, evaluation of teachers' own competencies (what I should and could do as a teacher to meet the specific needs of the child / pupil - reflections of needs, possibilities of their implementation and the necessary conditions).

? Current Issues in Special Education (legislation, European and global trends, sociological and philosophical questions of integration and inclusion)
? Video with the theme of a child (student) with disabilities in educational situations (analysis, discussion)
