Course objectives:
|
The practical corrective course aims to acquaint students with correct Russian pronunciation, help them to rid of incorrect Czech-based pronunciation in Russian, correctly interpret listened texts (developing phonemic listening skills) and lay the bases of graphical and orthographical system of Russian with the support of the theoretical basis. The course concentrates on the analysis and practicing the most important phenomena of the phonetic and phonological system of Russian and the phenomena of Czech and Russian interferences (orthography and pronunciation of unstressed vowels, pronunciation of hard and soft "l", pronunciation of "š", "ž", "šč", "č" and soft consonants, function of iotated letters, writing and pronunciation of the vowels ?y? and ?i?, writing vowels after hushing consonants, function of the soft and the hard sign, writing and pronunciation of simple ?n? and double ?nn?, etc.). Students will gain overview of contemporary tendencies of Russian pronunciation and orthography. They use the latest Russian orthographical and orthoepical dictionaries.

Requirements on student

Active participation in class, oral performance progress assessment, two progress tests and a dictation (at least 70%), final test: phonetic transcription of a text, Russian spelling (orthography) test (at least 70% of total).

|
Relationship of written and spoken utterance, phoneme and grapheme. Pronunciation of separate sounds and words. Practice in production and perception on the level of rhythmical group. Intonation patterns.
Orthographical system of Russian language. Orthography and grammar. Orthography and etymology.
Writing and pronunciation of unstressed vowels.
Function of jota letters.
Writing and pronunciation of consonants. Writing of some consonant groups.
Writing of hard sign and soft sign.
Writing with dash, space and together.
Writing of negative particle.
