Course objectives:
|
Within the course students are introduced to different methodological approaches in social work with an individual in solving social problems of clients, problems of clinical social work, they will enhance their skills and knowledge which are the basis for their social work practice. Lectures will focus on the history of social work, theoretical background of scientific discipline and especially on the methods of social work in health care. Students are encouraged to understand the importance of the relationship between social worker and client, including its ethical aspects and personality requirements on social workers in multidisciplinary teams of health professionals.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students will understand the basic principles of solving social problems of clients and understand the importance of theory in the usage of specific methods of working with the client. Students will know the basic stage of historical development of social work, their theoretical background, and will be able to analyze various methods of social work and system contexts of this discipline. |
