Course objectives:
|
Students will become familiar with specifics in development of children with hearing impairment. They will get information about the possibilities of education, specific intervention and communication strategies for persons with hearing impairment, as well as their social inclusion, employment, and complex social support. Students will get orientation in understanding dilemma of perceiving people with hearing impairment either as a linguistic and cultural social minority or people with disability.
